Q4 2015
Our work focuses on recording telepresence over a longer period of time, based on a dialogue. Traditional communication trainings, such as recording a conversation on video for later evaluation, can be beneficial but often lack authenticity. Using virtual reality, we aim to create a real-time experience that feels natural and focuses on subtle aspects of the conversation, such as the proportion of speaking time and the rhythm of speech. We used the Unreal Engine as a platform for visualization in VR, allowing interlocutors to immerse themselves in a dialogue-representing space. The organic-looking spheres representing each person allow for a unique visualization of the conversation at the end. Abstraction simplifies critical self-reflection.
Unfortunately, the video is only available in German. This project was part of a group project for my studies.
